"Unraveling the Science of Tocotrienol in the Service of Human Health"

The Davos Research and Development (R&D) - Helix Life Science Pte. Ltd., is one of the world's largest and most innovative Tocotrienol research laboratories. Our goal is to develop Davos Tocotrienol into an innovative natural product that addresses significant unmet medical needs and enhance human life. We are committed to unlocking the full values of Davos Tocotrienol.

Our R&D activities are based in a 1500 m² laboratory within the renowned biotechnology hub of Singapore- Biopolis. The presence of cross-disciplinary research institutes (http://www.a-star.edu.sg) and shared scientific facilities (http://bsf.a-star.edu.sg) around Davos creates and sustains an outstanding research environment for our scientists. Currently, we conduct in vitro, in vivo and clinical studies within our laboratory.

The main foci of research are in the following areas

1. Tocotrienol in prostate/breast/skin cancer therapeutic
2. Tocotrienol in hypercholesterolemia
3. Tocotrienol in dermapathology

Since becoming operational in 2006, Davos R&D team explored multiple molecular pathways responsible for tocotrienol anti-cancer properties [to be published]. In particular, we elucidated for the first time how - tocotrienol can prevent cancer cell proliferation and metastasis. In addition, we have also conducted animal and human studies aiming to understand clinical benefits and toxicity of tocotrienol - the lethal dose 50 (LD50), the eye/skin irritation, and the genotoxic effect,. etc. The experimental results generated indicated that tocotrienol has low toxic potential to human; not irritating to skin/eye and not genotoxic. Together, these achievements place Davos among one of the most productive tocotrienol research laboratory.
